You may be charged $100 for appointments not kept or cancelled with less than a 24 hour notice, 48 hour courtesy preference. Please note that insurance companies will not reimburse you or Total Alignment Counseling, LLC for missed appointments and you remain responsible for these charges.
If you cancel more than 3 times in a 3 month period, you will be removed from the schedule. You can continue to be seen but you will need to book times week by week.
If you no call/no weekly you will be removed from the schedule immediately and will lose your scheduled time slot.
If you will miss more than 2 appointments consecutively (due to vacation, emergency, etc.) you will be removed from the schedule, but can start again when ready and will be offered the next available slot.
I personally call to verify your insurance prior to your session so you have an idea of the cost to you. However, an insurance verification is NOT a guarantee of benefits. You should always call your insurance yourself prior to your first session, so you know the cost to you.
I must emphasize, as a mental health provider, my relationship is with you and not your insurance company. The filing of insurance claims is a courtesy to you, but ultimately you are responsible for any charges incurred.
Due to the nature of the work I do, I am not available 24/7 or on call. Often times I am unable to answer the phone immediately, as I am in sessions. Please leave me a voicemail or email and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
If you have a question about something related to your treatment or an issue to discuss; you have two options.
1. Make a note and bring it to your session to discuss.
2. Log in to the therapy portal and book the next available appointment.
Your copay will be charged automatically at the time of your session, unless otherwise specified during your intake.
If you have questions about outstanding charges, insurance claim status, or issues related to claims please call billing at 330-270-8494.
Our full list of policies and procedures is listed in the service agreement and financial agreement, which is signed by you prior to your intake appointment. If you have any questions, please refer to that document, as it outlines all of my procedures.
